How it works

Sling-Gang Lieutenant reads "Sacrifice a Goblin: Target player loses 1 life and you gain 1 life" - free, no mana. Putrid Goblin has persist: when it dies with no -1/-1 counters on it, it returns with one. First Day of Class puts a +1/+1 counter on every creature you control that enters this turn - and a +1/+1 counter and a -1/-1 counter cancel out. So the Goblin comes back clean, and you sacrifice it again. Infinite drain.

The catch: First Day of Class only covers the turn you cast it. Miss the window and the Goblin stays dead. You need all three pieces on the table, and the counter-cancelling is a state-based action - it happens automatically, no responses needed.
